Alexis Corman, daughter of Justin and Becky Corman, a 2017 Bridgeport alum, was the winner of the photography contest for the plaques for State FFA multiple Career Development Event winners.
Corman was heavily involved in FFA throughout high school and started at the University of Nebraska Lincoln in August of 2017 after graduation from Bridgeport. During college, she worked for the Agriculture Leadership Education and Communication Department for more than two years and was part of a student coordinator team that planned, executed, and evaluated results for all the Career Development Events at the Nebraska FFA Convention in 2018 and 2019.
On her picture being chosen for the big event, Corman said, “I was completely surprised when my photograph was chosen for both the display in the ALEC office and for the CDE Plaques. I was so excited! I have had a passion for photography for several years now, so to have my photography recognized like that, especially because it has to do with my family farming and really the passion for capturing the story of agriculture and specifically my family’s story… it adds more fuel to the passion I have for photography.”
