The Bridgeport boys golf team wrapped up the season with a 10th-place finish at the Class D state tournament held last week at North Platte’s Lake Maloney Golf Course. Bridgeport, which won the D-5 district title to qualify for state, finished state play with a two-day total of 716.The Bulldogs shot a 355 on the first day and concluded action with a 361 on the final day.
Bodhi Dohse led the Bulldogs individually. Dohse finished in a tie for 26th with a two-day total of 171. He shot an 88 in the first round and shot an 83 in the final round. Harrison Barnette totaled a 178 to place 46th. Barnette opened with an 81 and carded a 97 on the second day. Jason Jensen finished in a tie for 47th with a 179 total. Jensen shot rounds of 93 and 86. Holden Shultz totaled a 188 to finish in a tie for 70th. Shultz shot rounds of 93 and 95. Gage Nein ended in a tie for 90th. Nein shot a 109 in the opening round and shot a 107 to finish with a 216 total.
Pender won the state title with a 641. Overton was second with a 652. Creighton’s Gage Burns won the individual title with a 151. For the season, Dohse led the Bulldogs with a scoring average of 87.4. Jensen finished next with 88.64 and Barnette ended at 89.2. Shultz averaged a 94.7 and Nein finished at 104.9.
