City Administrator resigns

City Administrator Dawn Martin, appointed by Mayor Beyer and approved by the city council during a special meeting on February 13, 2023, announced her resignation on Tuesday, May 30, effective end of day Tuesday. She began her employment with the city on March 7.

City Administrator Dawn Martin, appointed by Mayor Beyer and approved by the city council during a special meeting on February 13, 2023, announced her resignation on Tuesday, May 30, effective end of day Tuesday. She began her employment with the city on March 7.

In her letter to Mayor Beyer, Martin said, “Due to some unforeseen circumstances, please accept this as my formal letter of resignation from the position of City Administrator with the City of Bridgeport, Nebraska…I graciously accept the offer of an additional two-week departure payment which will be added to my final phone, mileage, and wages. It has been an honor to serve the City of Bridgeport.

There are many issues the city needs to address; however, the city has a dedicated and skilled staff to help with the process.”
