It was a weather-shortened home stand for the Bridgeport Bombers senior legion baseball team last week. Both of the Bombers’ doubleheaders against Class B opponents were cut short by rain and lightening.

Against Chadron last Wednesday, the Bombers dropped a 12-6 setback to the junior Nationals.

Nate Billey and Matt Monheiser both led Bridgeport with a pair of hits. Billey doubled, drove in a run, and scored two runs. Monheiser finished with a double, a run scored, and a run batted in.
