The formal resignation of Dawn Martin from the city administrator position was accepted by council when the city council met in regular session on June 8 at the Prairie Winds Community Center. Martin held the job for less than thee months.

Following routine business, the consent agenda was passed, including the approval of the regular and special meeting minutes held in May, and the acceptance of the monthly treasurer’s report.

Appointments were made for council people to oversee each department, with the hope that a resident with an issue or compliment would visit with the council person in charge, who will, in turn, speak to the employee necessary. Councilman Mark Wickard will oversee the Electrical and Street Departments, Councilwoman Angie Clinger will oversee the Water Department and sewers, Councilwoman Carrie Harless will oversee Parks Department and Zoning Commission, Councilman Will Deines will oversee maintenance issues and city equipment, and Mayor Beyer will oversee the library and museum.
