Bridgeport high school cross country runners travelled to the University of Nebraska at Kearney on Monday last week, taking part in the all-class run with hundreds of other runners and dozens of schools.The Lady Bulldogs took the ninth-place spot with 103 points in the class D division out of 37 schools, the Bulldogs, 32nd place with 327 points in the same class facing 51 other schools.

The Bridgeport Bulldogs continued their winning ways over the rival Bayard Tigers with a 68-34 victory on the gridiron last Friday night in Bayard. In their last two matchups, the Bulldogs have out-scored the Tigers by a score of 133-54.

AnnaRilla Dudden, 89, of Bridgeport, Nebraska, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023, at the Morrill County Community Hospital in Bridgeport. Cremation has taken place per her wishes. Her memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at the Bridgeport Church of Christ, with Pastor Jonathan Seng officiating. Rollie Muhr, born on June 19, 1961, in Bridgeport, Nebraska, passed away on September 14, 2023, in Fremont, NE, after bravely battling severe medical conditions. Cremation was chosen. A Memorial Service for Rollie will be held on Wednesday, October 4, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Christ, with Pastor Jonathan Seng officiating. Donna Marie Amateis, 94, of Bridgeport, Nebraska, passed away Monday, September 25, 2023, at Skyview of Bridgeport. Susan Arndt, 72, of Oshkosh, Nebraska, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023, at her home. Memorial Services were held Thursday, September 21, 2023, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, with Pastor Scotty Ray officiating. Burial followed in the Oshkosh City Cemetery.
