Dale was born March 20, 1945, to Marshall and Lillian Frickey. After graduating high school, he worked for the State of Nebraska before becoming the Morrill County Highway Superintendent, retiring after 39 years. Dale proudly served as treasurer for the Morrill County Rodeo, Farm and Ranch Association and the Rural Fire Board. He served as Mayor of Bridgeport, resigning after moving to the country.

As a Governor’s appointee to the Nebraska Board of Examiners for County Highway Superintendents, Dale enjoyed his trips to the State Capitol 6 times a year for many years. He also had a great love for golf, and loved going to the annual Highway Superintendent conventions for the camaraderie... and especially the golf.

Dale married Dorothy Roberts in 1965 and they had one son, Devin. Sadly they both proceeded him in death, along with brothers Vergil and Roy, sisters Kathy and Betty, nephew Tom and niece Regina.

Dale is survived by his wife Sandy (Dishong) of 27 years, granddaughter Brandi, two great-grandchildren, sisters Norma Hecht, Audrey (Joe) Viola, Margaret (Rick) Newkirk, many nieces and nephews.
