William “Cody” Houston, 82

William was the son of Ralph and Doris Cleveland Houston, born on January 1, 1942, in Gales Creek, Oregon.

He was united in marriage to Martha Mitchell on March 17, 1961.The couple had three children: Doug Houston of Scottsbluff, NE, Charlene Stolte of Gretna, NE, and Cheryl Guthmiller (Paul) of Bridgeport, NE.

He enjoyed traveling, working in the log woods in his favorite state, Montana. He travelled to several states with his job as an irrigation technician on many golf courses, always taking his boat with him. He loved fishing and hunting.

He eventually retired to Nebraska and helped on the farm. He enjoyed cooking chicken dinners for family and friends.

He was proceeded in death by his parents; brother Pat; and sisters Betty and Linda.

He is survived by his wife; 3 children; 9 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and sister Bonnie (Jim) Laurence of Golden, MO.

His final resting place will be at one of his favorite spots in Gunnison, CO.
