Cynthia, better known as “Cindy,” was born May 9, 1962, in Edinburgh, Scotland, to Duane and Lila Bruntz. Cindy was raised in Bridgeport, Nebraska, graduating with the class of 1980. Cindy went to cosmetology school; after that, she went to airline training in Saint Louis, MO. After her training she worked for airlines for many years. After that she worked a few odd and end jobs.
Cindy married Rick Sinks of Bridgeport, NE, in 1985; together they had four children: Rick Lee Sinks, Justin Sinks, Danielle Thomas, and Allison Titus.
Later in years they divorced. In 2010 she married Irving (Skip) Holum of Winter,Wisconsin.
Together they lived in Wisconsin until her health continued to decline, before moving back to Nebraska to be closer to her family.
Cindy is survived by her husband, Skip Holum of Wisconsin; son Justin (Megan) Sinks of Morrill, NE; daughters Danielle (Roy) Thomas of Fullerton, NE, and Allison Titus of Fullerton, NE; mother Lila (Ted) Dunder of Kimball, NE; sister Helen (Troy) Hays of Cozad, NE; grandchildren Aylah, Brody, Karston, Jayda, and Kane; niece Amanda (Bud) Swanson of Cozad, NE; neice Amy (Jimmy) Laws of Lincoln, NE; and nephew Austin (Kimberly) Spotanski of Cozad, NE.
She was proceeded in death by her father Duane Bruntz, son Rick Lee Sinks, grandson Zeek Lee Titus, and her grandparents. Cindy was immensely proud of her family; she leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. She will be greatly missed by many and was a woman of strength, determination, and loved the outdoors, gardening, hummingbirds, and most of all spending time with her family and grandchildren.The celebration of life will be held on April 10, 2023, at 10 a.m. at PrairieWinds Community Center in Bridgeport NE.
Cremation has taken place.
