Patti was born on June 9, 1949, in Dalton, Nebraska, to Richard C. and Billie Jean (Christopherson) Blome.

Patti received an associate’s degree in physical therapy from Green River Community College and then went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Eastern Oregon University and a master’s in education from Oregon State University.

Patti was an educator at Southwestern Oregon Community College for over 30 years teaching adult education.

Patti was also an entrepreneur. She had a love for animals and meeting new people. She loved baking dog cookies and selling goodies at the Bandon Farmer’s Market.

Patti is survived by her daughter, Stormy Iverson; grandchildren, Evan Haruyama and Kimi Johnson; great-grandchildren, Amalyee Haruyama and Mason Haruyama; and her beloved dog; Faith.

Cremation Rites have been held under the direction of Nelson’s Bay Area Mortuary, Coos Bay, Oregon.
