The Bridgeport High School football team broke into the win column in dominating fashion last Friday night. A run of 58 unanswered points powered the Bulldogs to a 64-6 victory over visiting Maxwell. Playing in front of the home fans for the first time this season, the Bridgeport High School football team was edged 20–14 by Perkins County last Friday night. A pair of touchdown runs in the fourth quarter helped rally the Plainsmen past the Bulldogs. It marked a season-opening win for Perkins County, while Bridgeport fell to 0-2. Hershey took the top spot with the low score of 471, followed by Chadron with 472, Perkins County with 479, and North Platte St. Pats with 538.
