WTC Honor Choir held in Bridgeport

Bridgeport Public School was the site of the Western Trails Conference Honor Choir on Monday, November 13. Select students from the seven conference area schools came to Bridgeport for the day and spent several hours rehearsing five pieces together, under the direction of Brad Ronne. Bridgeport had the most students selected for the choir, with twenty chosen to sing in the honor chorus.

Seven area students attend Doane Fall Festival of Winds

Doane University held its 30th annual Fall Festival of Winds concert on Saturday afternoon, November 4, inside Heckman Auditorium in Crete. High school honor bands, including seven students from Bridgeport, joined forces with the Doane Concert Band to perform select pieces in front of a full audience.

Old West brings together high school show choirs across the panhandle and northern Colorado to compete for Best of the Fest, an evening concert to show off the best talent.

Nebraska School Activities Association volleyball subdistrict D12-11 games were played at the number one seed Leyton High School in Dalton on Monday and Tuesday evenings last week. Leyton, having a bye for the first game, faced off against number four Creek Valley in game three, winning easily against the Storm in three sets; 25-7, 25-8, and 25-11.

Leyon ends their season on the gridiron

Leyton played their final game of the season at Hyannis last Thursday afternoon in a downpour of rain that cast a cold spell over the entire game. Kaleb Borges led the way offensively with 13 yards in 10 carries, while Trenton Rushman claimed ten solo tackles. Borges added nine, and Jeremiah Hajek added seven. Borges also had two fumble recoveries, while Rushman and Austin Beutler each had one.
