The Leyton girls track and field team claimed the Class D, District 9 championship last week in Chappell. Leyton finished on top with a total of 88 points.

With just a couple of days until the district tournament, the Bridgeport High School boys golf team continued to round into postseason form with more successful results over the past week.
Brooklyn Mohrman was selected as the Bridgeport Lions Club Senior of the Month for May.
